Florida Bartending Schools

1. ABC BARTENDING SCHOOL
Best of the Florida Bartending Schools. Statewide locations. Owner in business in Florida since 1977. Also nation’s largest privately owned school system with nationwide locations. Excellent job placement assistance record in Florida, no school has placed more students into jobs in Florida. Featured in articles from many major Florida newspapers with many letters of recommendations statewide. Florida locations in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, South Beach, Tampa, Orlando, Palm Beach, and Jacksonville.

2. National Bartenders, Casino Games, and Hospitality School
Offer classes for bartenders in their casino school. Located in Fort Myers and Bonita Springs. Good school.

3. American Bartending School
This school owner has already closed schools in Orlando, Clearwater, and Sarasota! High priced for such a track record. Uses the PBSA, Best, and USA website gimmicks where she has to pay to be on these websites. One location in Tampa, Florida.
The Owner bad mouths all of the competition in her area. Be careful of this owner!

4. International Bartending School
Beware! Claims on some websites to be open for 30 years and to have locations in other cities. Has only been in business for 10 years and has had no other locations. Poor track record for training and job placement assistance. Below average bar equipment set-up for school. One location in Miami, Florida.

5. Hospitality Training School
Beware! Claims to be licensed in Florida on Florida Bartending School website are false. No record with state. Very high priced. One location in Daytona, Florida.

6. Orlando Bartending School
New school with slick misleading website. School location has been sold four times in recent years under different school names. One location in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Opened in April 2004, but still cannot post how many students have been trained or placed in Orlando. Uses misleading job placement percentage claims of 88%. Be very careful.

The most recent complaint filed shows them using a 88% job placement claim (documented) in their advertising which is in violation of Florida Education Statute 6E - 2004(C)7 Advertising. Upon calling the State Board in Florida and speaking to an investigating agent, he stated that the state has not documented this false claim. The term documented meant that he had submitted a form making these claims and that his office had not documented his job placement claims.

7. A Bartenders Academy in South Florida
Be very careful of this school and owner. Has changed names three times, three times filed for bankruptcy, has closed two locations in South Florida, and is listed with BBB as having poor rating with numerous complaints. Be very careful when dealing with this school and its owner Wayne Radomski. Has been highlighted on TV and newspaper investigative reports. (New Times and channel 12 Palm Beach). One location in WPB.

8. New York Bartending School of South Florida
Opened on November 5th 2005. Tends to use misleading advertising claims.  No placement track record is listed on their website for their Fort Lauderdale school (how many students they have placed into jobs). Uses "We teach you more and train you better" sales gimmick.  Also uses "Free hands on class" and "Worldwide job placement" and "Nationwide job placement" sales gimmick (There is only 1 school in Florida and 1 in New York). - Be careful!

9. Bartending Schools Online
The state of Florida and most states do not recognize online programs. Slick marketing but not very productive. Be careful of these internet marketeers.

10. PBSA, USA, BEST Bartending, BBBartending.org
This company sells its websites to schools to generate sales leads from its website for money. One website marketeer owns all of these website names and sells them to all the schools listed on them.  Has poor track record in Florida.  Claims made on their websites are misleading and not documented.  Schools listed on the website are also not checked out for accuracy in their claims. Notice the lack of the nation's top schools being listed on any of their web sites (ABC, Boston and Texas bartending schools). Be very careful of this marketer's web site.

11. Florida Bartending Schools
This website sells leads for profit. Has had a number of schools on their website that are not licensed as claimed or have gone out of business. Not all the claims on the website have been documented as claimed. Uses many misleading statements to make a profit from website. Be very careful.

12. Newspaper ads that read, “Bartenders earn up to $400-1000 dollars no experience required" and give a 800 number to call. It’s a rip off. Do not send money.

13. The Nexgen Program is the newest on-line scam. Goes under many different names such as Fort Lauderdale Bartending School, Palm Beach Bartending School, Jacksonville Bartending School, etc. Be very careful, don't give them your credit card number or send a check!! Currently under investigation by state attorney office for misleading claims and operating without a state license.

14. Bartenders Needed. New on-line scam that now appears on the web with an 800 number that states they can help you get a job site unseen. Be very careful! Don't give them your credit card number.

15. Florida Bartenders Association Agency or National Association of Bartenders or N.A.D. (in Tampa and Orlando) Be careful of this guaranteed employment scam. (They guarantee the same jobs to everyone. It is against the law to guarantee employment in Florida.) Must pay for a job, oldest scam going in the bartending industry. Stay away from this scam and con man. If you are looking to learn how to bartend go to a bartending school that is licensed by the State Board of Education in their state.
